Director of Training
BronxWorks helps individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being. From toddlers to seniors, we feed, shelter, teach, and support our neighbors to build a stronger community. BronxWorks Director of Training
Oversee all department functions and provide customized training to over 850 direct care, management and administrative staff of a settlement house model social service agency which provides food, shelter, education and support to residents of the South Bronx.
Identify and assess current and future training needs through job analysis, population assessment, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with managers
Develop and implement an agency-wide training and development plan that addresses need and expectations of all BronxWorks departments
Oversee and participate in New Employee Orientation Onboarding Program comprised of in-person and online trainings
Develop outcome measures and regularly evaluate program effectiveness
Manage training department budget
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
Manage all internship programs including MSW One Year Residency Program (OYR)
Serve as point of contact with social work graduate schools and is responsible for overseeing the application and placement process for the BronxWorks intern program
Supervises and collaborates with the training coordinator in organizing and scheduling monthly training to meet staff needs and accomplish training goals outlined in the strategic training plan
Identifies internal subject matter experts, mentors other staff to deliver training, and schedules external training consultants.
Tracks training compliance, and collaborates on developing engaging online training materials using Cornerstone LMS.
Job Type: Full-time
Master’s degree in Human Services, MSW preferred
Three years of training experience
Able to work efficiently with PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Knowledge of Learning Management Systems preferred
Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English language is required. Authorization to work in the United States for any employer is mandatory.
