Community Access, Inc. (CA), founded in 1974, is a progressive not-for-profit organization that expands opportunities for people living with mental health concerns to recover from trauma and discrimination through affordable housing, training, advocacy and healing-focused services. We are built upon the simple truth that people are experts in their own lives. Our programs are spread across 20 locations and include over 1000 units of supportive housing in three boroughs, the Howie The Harp Advocacy Center, ThriveAtWork, Blueprint Supported Education, East Village Access—a PROS program, and a peer-driven Crisis Respite Center.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT CLERK
to work at 2 Washington Street, in New York, NY.


This is a full-time position, rate commensurate with experience with an excellent benefits package.

Position Overview:
The Property Management Clerk assists the Director of Property Management, and the property management department with various clerical and administrative duties. Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting the Site Coordinator and Property Management Legal Counsel with photocopying, filing, preparation of mailings and archiving; Assist in management of paperwork for renting up new buildings and for reports and submissions to funding, monitoring, and regulatory agencies; Monitoring housing hot line, sending out applications, maintaining waiting list, and contacting applicants to confirm information in applications and to arrange interviews.


Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have an understanding, appreciation and commitment to the philosophy and mission of Community Access; Previous clerical experience is preferred; Ability to follow directions for clerical tasks that have several steps; Willingness to learn additional computer skills, especially property management software and MS Office; Ability to show initiate in starting tasks and responsibility in following them through to completion; Accuracy in entering data, completing forms and filing papers; ability to maintain confidential information, as related to position; Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
