Community Access, Inc. (CA), founded in 1974, is a progressive not-for-profit organization that expands opportunities for people living with mental health concerns to recover from trauma and discrimination through affordable housing, training, advocacy and healing-focused services. We are built upon the simple truth that people are experts in their own lives. Our programs are spread across 20 locations and include over 1000 units of supportive housing in three boroughs, the Howie The Harp Advocacy Center, ThriveAtWork, Blueprint Supported Education, East Village Access—a PROS program, and a peer-driven Crisis Respite Center.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
to work in our 2 Washington St. Location in New York, NY.

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week; hourly rate between $22.00 - $27.00, with an excellent benefits package.

Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the CEO, Deputy CEOs, and Executive Assistant and other agency leadership as needed. Responsibilities include: Maintaining administrative systems; assisting with data entry and report-related activities; Performing general administrative duties such as filing, copying, correspondence, answering and responding to calls; Assisting the Quality Improvement Department as well as the Executive Assistant with data entry and gathering; Processing codes invoices and expense reports according to accounting systems; Assisting Executive Assistant with calendar management and travel coordination; Assuming Front Desk responsibility as scheduled; Coordinating and preparing for Board Meetings. Attends and participate in supervision, meetings and training sessions, as required.


Qualifications:

All applicants must have an understanding, appreciation, and commitment to the philosophy and mission of Community Access. Recipient/survivor of mental health services, preferred; Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (TASC); At least two (2) years experience in an administrative position required; Must be fingerprinted and cleared by the NY State Justice Center; Resourceful and ability to organize and multitask; Attentive to details in documentation and data collection and reporting; Show initiative and follows through; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to utilize various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel; Be creative and flexible; Ability to maintain confidential information, as related to position.
