The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide direct psychiatric services for homeless individuals at three separate, general population treatment programs who are not connected to care. The PNP will document medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions and outcomes. The PNP will provide medication management including prescription refills and medication education, write prescriptions for psychotropic medications as allowed by state regulations and collaborative practice agreements and also provide in service staff training and consultation to the social service team. This role requires significant travel.

PNP - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State and credentialed by the State to practice as an advanced Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Psychiatry.

•Preference is given to those who have experience working on a multi-disciplinary team and/or previous experience working with the homeless population
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to assist adults of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, and sexual preferences
•Bilingual English and Spanish speaking is preferred

Qualifications
