Finance Department Administrator
The Bridge, an innovative and well respected mental health agency serving adults with serious mental illness, substance abuse, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders is seeking a Finance Department Administrator to join its elite team.
Coordinate internal communication flow between program and finance.
Receive finance department mail; log in checks received; distribute correspondence the appropriate person; coordinate preparation and logistics for finance committee meetings and finance staff meetings; assist in preparation of reports from finance to a variety of sources; review key correspondence that is being sent by the finance department to external entities; coordinate the collection of all non-finance related information for audits, 990s, CFRs, etc.; coordinate the approval of the Personal Actions Forms by the Finance Department.
Work with the Controller and CFO to update job descriptions, and schedule annual and/or probationary performance reviews; maintain vacation accrual schedule and planned vacation schedules for the finance department staff; work with program staff to distribute and monitor the documentation related to Metrocards and petty cash; responsible for tracking all utility payments and preparing the documentation to be uploaded into the accounting software; provide support to finance staff at key periods – such as gathering back-up documentation for auditors; work with development to identify grants/restricted funding, and maintain the related documentation; periodically will be responsible to cover the front desk in the administrative offices; work on special projects and duties assigned by the Controller or CFO.
Bachelor’s Degree; minimum three (3) years administrative experience.
Some accounting background preferable; Non-profit experience preferred; proficiency in word and excel.
Excellent communication skills.
