Social Worker - SSAP

The Center for Urban Community Services’ Scattered Site Apartment Program (SSAP)/Home to Stay seeks applicants for the position of Social Worker with Home to Stay. Home to Stay provides intensive, time-limited services to families with a history of challenges remaining in independent housing. The goals of the program are to assist families in moving from shelter, developing a network of supports, and regaining stability in the community to end the cycle of homelessness. These families receive rental assistance for up to five years.

Responsibilities: The social worker will provide a wide range of clinical services to program participants, using Critical Time Intervention informed practice, Motivational Interviewing, and other modalities. Additionally, the social worker will participate in program planning and development, and act as a team leader (including supervising one staff member). This person will be expected to participate in and contribute to a program culture that is client-centered, outcome-oriented and dedicated to continuous quality improvement.

In this job, you will be able to work toward your LCSW by obtaining the necessary clinical practice hours and receiving supervision from a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.


MSW; LMSW preferred. New hires will be required to be licensed within 6 months from date of hire.
· Relevant experience working with population served by the program preferred.
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Computer literacy
· Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
